Joseph Isaac "Zeke" Wright, Sr., 75 of 8707 Mill Branch Rd, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Alleghany Health and Rehab.
He was born April 22, 1948, in Allegany Co the son of the late Leslie L. Wright and Margie W. Wright other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Louise Wright, a daughter Sherry W. Malcom, also by eight brothers and four sisters.
Zeke was the owner and operator of Hammer and Nail Roofing Co for over forty years, he loved to hunt and fish.
Surviving is his son Joseph I. Wright, Jr. of Covington, three grandchildren Brandon Jackson" Marissa Selleck", Hunter Malcom, IV and Taylor Malcom all of Covington, two sisters Helen Fitzgerald of Standsville, Agnes Thomas of Grottos, and brother Abraham Wright and his wife Emma of Covington, a son in law Toby Malcom of Covington, also surviving are number of nieces and nephews.

Janice "Patty" Wilcher Jeffries, 68 of 616 N. Beverly St., died, Saturday July 2, 2022.
Mrs. Jeffries was born on August 12, 1953, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late Ray Allen and Beulah Caldwell Wilcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons Jamie E. Jeffries, Jason T. Jeffries, and Jody A. Jeffries and a sister Doris Reynolds.
She was a CNA for over 30 years at the Brian Center in Fincastle and Alleghany as well as at the Woodlands Health & Rehab Center. She loves working with the elderly.
Surviving are a daughter Amanda R. He was born July 5, 1971, in Baltimore MD. He was the son of the late Kenneth M Meadows, Sr. and Virginia Rose "Susie" Meadows of Neola, WV.
Kevin had been employed by Mullican Lumber Co. in Ronceverte, WV and loved hunting and fishing
Surviving other than his mother, he is survived by his brother Kenneth M. Meadows, II and his wife Veronica of White Sulphur, one nieces, Crystal Meadows of Neola, three nephews Kenneth M. Meadows, III., Thadeus Bradonand Hezekiah Brandon all of Lewisburg. a cousin Nikki Meadows bowles of Roanoke and a nephew Kenneth T. Tucker of Morgantown.
In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated.

Edith Irene Persinger Forbes, 62, of 111 Springwater Dr., died, Monday June 20, 2022, at Lewis Gale Alleghany in Low Moor.
Mrs. Forbes was born September 2, 1959, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late Beauford H. and Mary Humphries Persinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son David Wayne Persinger and a brother Harold L. Persinger.
She was a school bus driver for Alleghany County Public Schools and a member of Cliffdale Christian Church. She loved her kids and grandchildren watching them swim at her pool, she loved cookouts, people, and cracking jokes.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years Jerry W. Linda Salyers Alfier, 75, of 310 E. Prospect St., died, Friday June 17, 2022, in Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital.
Mrs. Alfier was born January 8, 1947, in Bath County a daughter of the late John H. Salyers and Lila Swoop Salyers.
She played the piano and choir director for Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church for a number of years.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Stephanie Morganti of North Canton, OH.; three grandchildren, Tyler Burch, Lucas Morganti and Sophia Morganti, and very special friend Warren "Chip" Lockridge.
In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated.

Brenda Tingler Humphries, 77, of 3504 Jamison Mountain Rd., died, on Monday June 13, 2022, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.
Mrs. Humphries was born on November 20, 1944, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late James Frank and Mabel Irene Redman Tingler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wade Lee Humphries in 2014, a daughter Debbie Dudley, a daughter in law Debbie Humphries, four Sisters, Darlene Givens, Velma Tingler, Arnetta Hicks, and Carol McCulley one Brother, Benson Tingler.
She was a caregiver who enjoyed family reunions, drinking coffee, watching tv, and her chickens.

Arturo Villaflor Agbo, 61, of 134 Old Greenhouse Rd., Hot Springs, died, Wednesday June 8, 2022, at Bath Co. Community Hospital.
Mr. Agbo was born March 3, 1961, in Manila, Philippines. He was the son of the late Adelina Villaflor Agbo and Teodoro Agbo Sr. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jun Villaflor and Alberto Agbo.
Surviving are his three sons, Raphanthoy Agbo of Hot Springs, Arturo E. Agbo, Jr., and his wife Mary Grace of New Jersey, and Kenneth and Levy Agbo of Hot Springs; along with two grandchildren, Kara Jean Beatrice, and Marley Adeline. Golden Craft Wright, 82 of Covington, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Golden was born October 21, 1939, in Rock Fork, Kentucky and was the daughter of late, Ora and Mary Bell Tharp Craft.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don E. Wright; daughter, Joyce McClung; brothers, Virlie Craft, Virgil Craft, Chester Craft, Joe Craft; sisters, Amy Robinson, and Ellaree Johnson. A loving Mother and Granny, she will be missed by her family.

Mrs. Williams was born on October 13, 1946, in Virginia a daughter of the late Robert E. Sr. and Bessie Hite Gallew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas A. "Bo" Williams Sr. in 2018; a son Thomas A. Williams Jr. in 2015; two sisters Carolyn Sue Gallew in 2022 and Patricia Kilby; and a son in law Tony Raffo.
She was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed crafting, collecting cookbooks, cooking, singing, thrift stores, and listening to gospel music.

Verlie Craft, 86, of 1404 Donovan St. Selma, died, Saturday June 4, 2022, in the Virginia Veteran Care Center in Roanoke.
Mr. Craft was born on January 8, 1936, in Kentucky a son of the late Ora and Mary Tharp Craft. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Hosey Craft in 2020; two sisters Amy Robinson and Ellera; three brothers Joe Craft, Virgil Craft, and Chester Craft.
He was in the United States Navy for 20 years serving during Vietnam. He was a member of Midway Christian Church and a heavy equipment mechanic.

Norman Lewis Persinger Sr., 80, of 441 Winding Way, died, Tuesday May 31, 2022, at Lewis Gale Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor.
Mr. Persinger was born on April 10, 1942, in Alleghany County a son of the late Jesse L. and Helen Clark Smith Persinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2019 Nancy Drepperd Persinger; a daughter Wendy Leigh Persinger; and a brother Donald R. Persinger.
He served in the United State Navy and had retired from the #2 Paper Machine at MeadWestVaco. He was a member of Mallow Presbyterian Church and was an avid hunter.
Surviving are his son Todd Persinger of Salem; a sister Rosa Lee Bartley of Covington; two sister in laws Thelma Falls and Betty Munsey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be on June 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating.
The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Mr. White was born on January 11, 1949, in Alleghany County, a son of the late Stewart and Tassie White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert White and Fianc Linda Crawley.
