Berkley Miller Key, 79, of 408 E. Fairlawn Drive went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, in Lewis-Gale Montgomery Regional Hospital at Blacksburg due to complications from covid-19. Mr. Key was born February 4, 1941, in Covington a son of the late Earl and Gladys Wood Key. He was retired from PMI, Inc. and was the owner of Key Electric, LLC. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was quiet, generous and always helping others with their heating and air in their homes, usually on the coldest nights and hottest days. He was a long time member and Deacon of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his Wife, Pam Campbell Key, of Covington; his Son and Daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Wendy Poague, of Covington; his Daughter and Son-in-law, Terrie and C.E. William Clayton Miller, 70, of 7951 Mill Branch Rd., died, Sunday January 3, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Miller was born March 5, 1950 in Alleghany Co. a son of the late Clayton and Margie Plott Miller. He served in the United States Navy and retired after 30 years as an insulator with MeadWestvaco. Willie loved to fish, golf, and loved to work out in his garage. Surviving are his companion of over 30 years Arletta Griffith, two sons; Bobby Byer and wife Anita, Jamie Griffith and wife Stacey all of Covington, seven grandchildren; Coty Griffith, Tyler Griffith, Robert Cash, Dustin Cash, Darrian Tucker, Priscilla Malone, and Johnny Ward; ten great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers in laws; Peggy Larnerd and Dan and Betty Wolfe and Bobby all of Covington; two brothers; Glen Miller of Lexington, NC and Larry Miller and wife Gloria of Yorktown, his beloved pet Tyke, and a number of nieces and nephews. Gary Wyatt "Mick" Kirk, 77, of Merryfield died Saturday, January2, 2021, in Lewis Gale-Alleghany Hospital at Low Moor. Mr. Kirk was born October 30, 1943, in Covington a son of the late Lafayette and Irene Hensley Kirk. Mick had retired from Jackson River Enterprises. He was active with Special Olympics and had participated in bowling tournaments in the area. Surviving are his Brother and Sister-in-law, Dewey and Wanda Kirk, of Covington; his Sister, Tennant Kirk, of Berea, KY; nephews, Spenser Gravitts and Kameron Kirk; nieces Chloe Gravitts and Kim Brown and a special longtime friend, Jeff Scott. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens at Lewisburg, WV, with Anthony Lowry officiating. Ruth Jane Adwell Armentrout, passed away peacefully, January 1, 2021. She was born in Caldwell, West Virginia January 27, 1928, a daughter of the late Sylvester Adwell and Naomi Bennett Adwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and she was the last surviving member of the Adwell siblings. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Winston Kelly Armentrout, a brother-in-law, Norris G. Armentrout and her in-laws, James Robert (Daddy Bob) Armentrout and Anna Kelly Armentrout. Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Bridgett Armentrout-Edwards and husband Matthew L. Priscilla Mahaney Carter, 82, of 1510 W. Jackson St., died, Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Mrs. Carter was born April 16, 1938, in Craigsville, a daughter of the late Lewis Elliott and Carrie Clark Mahaney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby McCoy Carter and brother Ronald "Ronnie" Lewis Mahaney. Priscilla was the Junior Queen of Music in 1950. A graduate of Covington High School in 1955 and was a member of the Beta Club and the Tri-Hi-Y. She also graduated from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College with two Associate of Applied Science degrees in Office Systems Technology and Business Management. She had an extensive work career to include Covington National Bank; First Virginia Bank of Southwest; Bill Wilson, Attorney; Douthat State Park; Virginia Welcome Center; League of Older Americans; and of more recent she worked at the USDA Forest Service and Goodwill through the Senior Community Services Employment. Keith was born September 7, 1960 to his parents Kenneth J. and Betty Laws, Sr. He was the eldest of nine children and the tallest as well (6'9"). He was proceeded in death by, Kenneth and Shirley Laws Sr., brother, Kenneth (Buster) Laws Jr., grandparents, James and Bernice Cosby, Elmore and Virginia Laws Sr., Aunt Shirley Smith, Brother-N-Law, Jeffery (PeeWee) Davis, and two grandsons, Jacob Bryant and Ki-ari Wright.
Keith was a 1978 graduate of Eastern Senior High School in Washington, D.C., where he played basketball. Keith was employed in Washington, D.C. as a Maintenance Engineer for two separate apartment complexes.

Mrs. Warlitner was born April 19, 1943, in Alleghany County a Daughter of the late Fred Sites and Lucille Fridley Sites Seay. She had retired from Jackson River Internists as a Nurses Aide. She was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church. She was a loving and caregiving wife, mother and friend and enjoyed the beach. Mr. Boone was born April 18, 1928, in Alleghany County, a son of the late Clarence and Gracie Judy Boone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Deacon, and a brother, Raymond Boone.
Roger had retired after 44 years from Westvaco as a Bleaching Chemical Operator. He was a charter member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church. He also served 13 years in the Army Reserve and was an E7 First Sgt. and an expert sharpshooter. He was a graduate of the International Correspondence School for Pulp and Paper. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking and making beautiful furniture.
