Virginia Thompson Irvin Biggs, age 87, of Covington, died Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs.

Virginia was born January 19, 1937, in Halifax County and was preceded in death by her parents, the late Olin Madison Thompson and Thelma Graham Thompson; her first husband, Boyd C. Irvin, her second husband, Timothy Biggs; two sons, Joseph Irvin and Richard Irvin.

Her favorite past times was cooking for her family, listening to music and just spending quality time with family.

Surviving are three daughters, Betty (Perry) Mabry of Covington, Angie Perry of Glasgow and Marsha Sargent of Covington; a son, Frank Irvin of Covington; one brother, Van Thompson of Hot Springs; sixteen grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of family members.

A graveside service at Cedar Hill Cemetery will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Billy Rock officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30PM.

Arritt Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling Ms. Biggs arrangements.
