Goldie Helmintoller Jones, 95, of Covington died Thursday, September 24, 2020, at her daughter's residence. Mrs. Jones was born March 29, 1925, in Alleghany County a Daughter of the late Jasper W. Helmintoller and Clara Virginia Wolfe Helmintoller In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, James M. Jones, and also by one brother and one sister. Goldie was a longtime member of the Covington Baptist Church. Surviving are Daughter and Son-in-law, Jackie and Rick Neuhs, of Covington; her grandson, Phillip Carpenter, of Covington; her granddaughter, Sandra Craft, and her husband, Carl, of Eagle Rock; two great-grandchildren, Logan Craft and Caleb Craft both of Eagle Rock; her beloved cat, Buddy, and also several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 28, 2020, at 1:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chape with the Rev. Brad Armes officiating. The interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends on Monday for one hour before service at Arritt Funeral Home.
