Hollie Scott Childs, 93, of 1804 Westwood Dr., died, Sunday June 29, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Childs was born November 14, 1920 in Botetourt County the daughter of the late Robert and Pearl Young Scott. She was also preceded in death by her husband Daniel L. Childs in 2005, three sons Linwood Childs, Dewey Childs, and Dallas Claytor, three brothers, and 1 sister. She was a former owner of the Childs Jewelry Store in Covington and was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons Robert Childs and wife Tatyana and James Childs both of Covington, Ronald Childs and wife Sharon of Blue Ridge, one granddaughter Rhonda Ashworth, one grandson Bryan Childs and wife Susie of Jacksonville, FL, one great granddaughter Hannah Ashworth. The funeral service will be held Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Botetourt Co.
