Judy Wright Anderson, 81, formerly of Covington, died, Saturday June 19, 2021, at The Springs Nursing Home in Hot Springs. Mrs. Anderson was born April 6, 1940, in Covington, a daughter of the late Robert Earl and Nanny Austin Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lenwood Anderson in 2016, two infant children Rhonda and Craig Anderson, and two sisters Virginia "Boots" Wright and Ester Prince. She was the first lady patrolman for the City of Covington. She was a member of the former Trinity Baptist Church. In addition to working for the city she worked at the former Brown's Music Store and was a homemaker, she loved her pets and feeding the wildlife around her home. In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated. Surviving are her daughter Alicia Baber and husband Robert, a granddaughter Arlana West, two grandsons Josh Miller and Matthew Stuple, three great granddaughters Autumn West, Madeline West, Elliot Herstine, a great grandson Charlie Markley all of Covington, a sister Violet Boug of Jacksonville, FL, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to The Springs Nursing Home for the care provided to Mrs. Anderson. A memorial service will be held Saturday June 26, 2021, at 11:00 in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. The family will receive their friends Saturday morning one hour prior to the service. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Anderson's name to the Alzheimer's Association at P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
