Jasper Daniel Crawley, Sr., age 65, of Covington, died Sunday, September 8, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends, following an extended illness.

Jasper was born April 29, 1959, in Covington, and was preceded in death by his father, the late, William K. Crawley, Sr.; a son, Jasper D. Crawley, Jr. "Danny"; two sisters, Linda Crawley and Regina Johnson Hunter; one brother, William Crawley, Jr.

For thirty years, he was employed with Hammond-Mitchell Inc, General Contractors as a laborer. JC, as he was affectionally called, loved to do yard work and his favorite NFL football team was the Washington Commanders.

Surviving is his mother, Selena Wilkerson Crawley of Covington, two sisters, Juanita (Kenneth) Helton and Teresa Crawley Ray both of Covington; one brother, George Crawley of Covington; a host of special nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly; two special friends, Gary Hunter and Linwood Twitty, who 'JC' enjoyed spending time with.

In keeping with Mr. Crawley’s wishes his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Pastor Stephanie R. Clark, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 PM also, at the funeral home.

Arritt Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling Mr. Crawley’s arrangements.
