Della Bell Moore, 80, of Powhatan was welcomed with the open arms by her Lord and Savior on Sunday August 16, 2020. Mrs. Moore was born June 18, 1940 in Covington, the daughter of the late Clyde Bell And Marie Alfred Bell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore R. Moore, Jr. in 2015. She was a retired investigator with the Internal Revenue Service, and she was a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1958, and had achieved enough credits for an associate degree. Della was a woman of Faith and attended Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church in Richmond. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. In addition to being an avid reader she was also a published author of the book When I Remember, I Remember When. Surviving are her two daughters Ann Martin of Powhatan, Susan Shifflett and her husband Terry of Shenandoah, one son T. Clyde "Pete" Moore of Richmond, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, and a special cousin Tommy Alfred and his wife Terry of Covington, and special family and friend Pam Moore and a number of cousins and friends whom she loved. The funeral service will be held Thursday August 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Thomas officiating. The interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive their family and friends one hour before service. Arrangements are being handle by Arritt Funeral Home.
