Christine Paxton Kimberlin, 99, formerly of Covington, died, Saturday July 31, 2021, in the Paramount Senior Living in Fredericksburg. Mrs. Kimberlin was born March 28, 1922, in Selma a daughter of the late Dewey Lee Paxton Sr. and Nina Devore Reed Paxton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Sullivan Kimberlin Sr., a daughter Barbara Ann Raphael and a son Arthur "Butch" Kimberlin Jr. She was a homemaker and loved to crochet, reunions, rides in the mountains, rock hunting, Antique stores, grandbabies, and cheap jewelry. She was also a member of the Goshen Baptist Church. Surviving are her son Gary Kimberlin, her daughter Peggy Stoops, grandchildren; Peggy's children Robert Batts, Barbara Batts, Arthur Jr.'s children Debbie, Robert, Kathleen, Chrystal, Arthur Kimberlin III, Barbara's children David, Scott, Jenifer, Kim, Gary's children Christine Deaton, Karen Risinger, numerous great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Saturday August 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at Goshen Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Reece officiating assisted by the Rev. Lloyd Via. The family will receive their friends Friday August 6, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM in the Arritt Funeral Home. The interment will be at 2:00 PM in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
