Roger Dale Dawson, 71, of 512 Mt. Pleasant Dr., died, Thursday December 9, 2021, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. Mr. Dawson was born December 25, 1949, in Alleghany County a son of the late Jesse William and Clara Wolfe Dawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sally Kitt Dawson; two sisters Nadine Wilhelm and Natalie Cheatham; one brother Delnar Dawson; a nephew Steven Dawson. He had worked as a truck driver for WestRock and had attended Midway Community Christian Church in Low Moor. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. Surviving are two sisters Jackie Yetter of Covington and Shirley Wheeler of Amherst; and a number of nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.
