Berkley Miller Key, 79, of 408 E. Fairlawn Drive went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, in Lewis-Gale Montgomery Regional Hospital at Blacksburg due to complications from covid-19. Mr. Key was born February 4, 1941, in Covington a son of the late Earl and Gladys Wood Key. He was retired from PMI, Inc. and was the owner of Key Electric, LLC. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was quiet, generous and always helping others with their heating and air in their homes, usually on the coldest nights and hottest days. He was a long time member and Deacon of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his Wife, Pam Campbell Key, of Covington; his Son and Daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Wendy Poague, of Covington; his Daughter and Son-in-law, Terrie and C.E. Vass, of Buchanan; six grandchildren, Taylor Poague, Colton Poague, Brian Vass, Chuck Vass and his wife, Sharon, Megan Carr and her husband, Shane, and Ethan Vass; four great grandchildren, Makayla Carr, Micah Carr, Maribeth Carr and Noah Vass; his Brother and Sister-in-law, Carl "Sonny" and Patricia Key, of Ohio and two nephews, Craig Key and his wife, Jennie, and Eric Key and his wife, Sharon. A private graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial donations in Berkley's name be made to McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church; 900 North Alleghany Ave.; Covington, VA 24426. Arritt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
