Laura Elaine Rogers "Sugar" Carico, 45, of 604 Stewart Ave, SE, Roanoke, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born June 19, 1963, the daughter of the late Curtis R. and Bertha Bassett Rogers. In addition to her parents, Sugar was preceded in death by two sons, Norman Carico and Curtis Carico. Surviving are her son, Joey Tellez of Covington; four sisters, Marsha Lipscomb and her husband Marion of Low Moor; Angie Lowe of Covington; Christy Cook and Debbie Cook, both of High Point, NC. seven brothers, David Rogers of Covington; Gary Rogers and his wife, Tammy of Low Moor; Johnny Rogers of Clifton Forge; Rock Rogers of Big Stone Gap; Eddie Cook and Junior Cook and Phillip Small all of High Point, NC; several nieces and nephews, Kimberly Livesay; Amanda Hoke; Candy Hoke Brandy Hoke; Savannah Malcom; Hanna Malcom; Wesley Rogers; Patrick Wright; Michael Vess, Jr. Kenneth Rogers; Trevor Rogers; John Green ; Heather Green and Lucas Rogers. The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 25, 2008 at the graveside in the Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend the service may assemble at Arritt Funeral Home by 10: 15 AM to proceed to the cemetery.
